“The compelling thing about making art – or making anything, I suppose – is the moment when the vaporous, insubstantial idea becomes a solid there, a thing, a substance in a world of substances.”

– Audrey Niffenegger, The Time Traveler’s Wife

Allow Me To Reintroduce Myself

Hi – and welcome! My name is Cara. (Care-Uh) I am Texan born and raised. I’ve been trekking this Earth for 21 years. I currently romp around a small town in East Texas with my sweet one year old son, Miles (also known more often by his nickname, Mouse). I am a fierce lover – among many other things – of:

– the color yellow
– sunny days
– vanilla Coca-Cola
– the Son and the Father
– practically any piece of fiction I can get my hands on
– Harry Potter
– crafting

I am a document-er. A lover. A sharer. A hugger. A night owl and novice photographer. I’m a feminist. I am also perpetually late to everything. I welcome you with open arms to my chaotic corner of the internet to share with you the perfect (and not so perfect) parts of my life. My ultimate goal here is to get a smile, or teach/show something that one hasn’t thought of before, or just to be a friend. Anyone, of any walk of life, is welcome. Dive in and come as you are – I’m so happy you’re here.
